A little history...

Chris "Tubsy" Tubbs' journey as an entertainer started way back in the 90s in an extra-curricular way having an obsession with music from an early age leading to a vast knowledge of all genres over the ages and an impressive 10,000+ vinyl record collection.

High school days were filled with organising discos, concerts and talent shows alongside being the founder of the school radio and magazine...not to mention the bands he was in!

His first "real" job was working on a holiday site as an entertainer where he progressed quickly to be an assistant ents manager.

In 2007, as a result of hiring a load of disco equipment in order to DJ his niece's 18th birthday party, the buzz for all this began leading to the equipment purchase and set-up of 'Interstellar Mobile Disco'. That quickly gained ground as he became a resident DJ in multiple venues around Bournemouth, Poole and surrounding areas along with travelling to various places as a mobile disco. 

Karaoke was added which led to the business being renamed 'IDK Entertainments' then 'Quay Entertainments'.

2020 brought on an unexpected hiatus for a year or so but he relentlessly returned purely known as 'Tubsy'.  With a renewed energy and passion for entertaining leading to the initial motto from early days of "If I don't leave the venue knackered, then I haven't done my job properly!" to return.  The current success is both humbling and encouraging and, in the words of Chris..."every single event is special and seeing people enjoy themselves smiling, singing and dancing is what I do this for".

As from 2024, gradual expansion of the business is expected to incorporate more like-minded DJs with the same enthusiasm.
